Petition Drive

Approximately 60 RPC volunteers staffed signup tables and canvassed the community in April, May and June 2007 to obtain signatures on the Petition to continue the process towards incorporation. Through their dedicated efforts, we obtained over 2,400 signatures on the Petition. According to the Orange County Registrar of Voters, there were 7,312 registered voters in Rossmoor at the last election. The required number to file for incorporation is 25% or 1,812. The RPC volunteers obtained more than 30%, or over 500 signatures more than necessary in just 3 months (half the time allowed to gather petitions).
